DAY 5
EXODUS + JOSHUA + JOHN + ACTS
Exodus Chapter 5
5:1And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith Yahweh Elohim of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
5:2And Pharaoh said, Who is Yahweh, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not Yahweh, neither will I let Israel go.
5:3And they said, The Elohim of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto Yahweh our Elohim; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
5:4And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
5:5And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.
5:6And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,
5:7Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.
5:8And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our Elohim.
5:9Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.
5:10And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.
5:11Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.
5:12So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.
5:13And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.
5:14And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?
5:15Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?
5:16There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.
5:17But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to Yahweh.
5:18Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.
5:19And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.
5:20And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
5:21And they said unto them, Yahweh look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
5:22And Moses returned unto Yahweh, and said, Yahweh, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?
5:23For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

5:23For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
Joshua Chapter 5
5:1And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that Yahweh had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.
5:2At that time Yahweh said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.
5:3And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.
5:4And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.
5:5Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.
5:6For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of Yahweh: unto whom Yahweh sware that he would not shew them the land, which Yahweh sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
5:7And their children, whom he raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way.
5:8And it came to pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole.
5:9And Yahweh said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day.
5:10And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho.
5:11And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day.
5:12And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
5:13And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
5:14And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of Yahweh am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my sovereign unto his servant?
5:15And the captain of Yahweh's host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

John Chapter 5
5:1After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Yahshua went up to Jerusalem.
5:2Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
5:3In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
5:4For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5:5And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
5:6When Yahshua saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
5:7The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
5:8Yahshua saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
5:9And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
5:10The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
5:11He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
5:12Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
5:13And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Yahshua had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
5:14Afterward Yahshua findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
5:15The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Yahshua, which had made him whole.
5:16And therefore did the Jews persecute Yahshua, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
5:17But Yahshua answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
5:18Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that Yahweh was his Father, making himself equal with Elohim.
5:19Then answered Yahshua and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
5:20For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
5:21For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
5:22For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
5:23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
5:25Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of Yahweh: and they that hear shall live.
5:26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
5:27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
5:28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
5:29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.
5:30I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
5:31If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
5:32There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
5:33Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
5:34But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
5:35He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
5:36But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
5:37And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
5:38And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
5:39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
5:40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
5:41I receive not honour from men.
5:42But I know you, that ye have not the love of Elohim in you.
5:43I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
5:44How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from Elohim only?
5:45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
5:46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
5:47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
5:1After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Yahshua went up to Jerusalem.

Acts Chapter 5
5:1But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
5:2And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
5:3But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
5:4Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto Elohim.
5:5And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the spirit: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
5:6And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
5:7And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
5:8And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
5:9Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of Yahweh? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
5:10Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the spirit: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
5:11And great fear came upon all the assembly, and upon as many as heard these things.
5:12And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
5:13And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
5:14And believers were the more added to the Master, multitudes both of men and women.)
5:15Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
5:16There came also a multitude out of the cities, round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
5:17Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,
5:18And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
5:19But the angel of Yahweh by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
5:20Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
5:21And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
5:22But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned and told,
5:23Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.
5:24Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
5:25Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.
5:26Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.
5:27And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
5:28Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
5:29Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey Yahweh rather than men.
5:30The Elohim of our fathers raised up Yahshua, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
5:31Him hath Yahweh exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
5:32And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom Elohim hath given to them that obey him.
5:33When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.
5:34Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
5:35And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.
5:36For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves who was slain: and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.
5:37After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.
5:38And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
5:39But if it be of Elohim, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against Elohim.
5:40And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Yahshua, and let them go.
5:41And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
5:42And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Yahshua Messiah.
5:34Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;
