DAY 22
EXODUS + JOSHUA + JOHN + ACTS
Joshua Chapter 22
22:1Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
22:2And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:
22:3Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of Yahweh your Elohim.
22:4And now Yahweh your Elohim hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you on the other side Jordan.
22:5But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of Yahweh charged you, to love Yahweh your Elohim, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
22:6So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away: and they went unto their tents.
22:7Now to the one half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given possession in Bashan: but unto the other half thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this side Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away also unto their tents, then he blessed them,
22:8And he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.
22:9And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the country of Gilead, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of Yahweh by the hand of Moses.
22:10And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to.
22:11And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel.
22:12And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them.
22:13And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,
22:14And with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel; and each one was an head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Israel.
22:15And they came unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasseh, unto the land of Gilead, and they spake with them, saying,
22:16Thus saith the whole congregation of Yahweh, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the Elohim of Israel, to turn away this day from following Yahweh, in that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel this day against Yahweh?
22:17Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of Yahweh,
22:18But that ye must turn away this day from following Yahweh? and it will be, seeing ye rebel to day against Yahweh, that to morrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation of Israel.
22:19Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of Yahweh, wherein Yahweh's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against Yahweh, nor rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar of Yahweh our Elohim.
22:20Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity.
22:21Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh answered, and said unto the heads of the thousands of Israel,
22:22Yahweh El of mighty ones, Yahweh El of mighty ones, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if it be in rebellion, or if in transgression against Yahweh, (save us not this day,)
22:23That we have built us an altar to turn from following Yahweh, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings thereon, let Yahweh himself require it;
22:24And if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with Yahweh Elohim of Israel?
22:25For Yahweh hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have no part in Yahweh: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing Yahweh.
22:26Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice:
22:27But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of Yahweh before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in Yahweh.
22:28Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, Behold the pattern of the altar of Yahweh, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it is a witness between us and you.
22:29Far be it that we should rebel against Yahweh, and turn this day from following Yahweh, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of Yahweh our Elohim that is before his tabernacle.
22:30And when Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spake, it pleased them.
22:31And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that Yahweh is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against Yahweh: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of Yahweh.
22:32And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, unto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.
22:33And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed Elohim, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt.
22:34And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witness between us that Yahweh is Elohim.
22:1Then Joshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
22:2And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:

Acts Chapter 22
22:1Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.
22:2(And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)
22:3I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward Elohim, as ye all are this day.
22:4And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.
22:5As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished.
22:6And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.
22:7And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
22:8And I answered, Who art thou Master? And he said unto me, I am Yahshua of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
22:9And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.
22:10And I said, What shall I do, Master? And Yahshua said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.
22:11And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.
22:12And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
22:13Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
22:14And he said, The Elohim of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
22:15For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
22:16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of Yahweh.
22:17And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;
22:18And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.
22:19And I said, Master, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on thee:
22:20And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.
22:21And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.
22:22And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.
22:23And as they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air,
22:24The chief captain commanded him to be brought into the castle, and bade that he should be examined by scourging; that he might know wherefore they cried so against him.
22:25And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?
22:26When the centurion heard that, he went and told the chief captain, saying, Take heed what thou doest: for this man is a Roman.
22:27Then the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell me, art thou a Roman? He said, Yea.
22:28And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.
22:29Then straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.
22:30On the morrow, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he loosed him from his bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before them.
22:1Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.
22:2(And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)

Exodus Chapter 23
23:1Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
23:2Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
23:3Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
23:4If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
23:5If thou see the donkey of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
23:6Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
23:7Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
23:8And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
23:9Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
23:10And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
23:11But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
23:12Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine donkey may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
23:13And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other mighty ones, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
23:14Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.
23:15Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
23:16And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
23:17Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Sovereign Yahweh.
23:18Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.
23:19The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of Yahweh thy Elohim. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
23:20Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
23:21Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
23:22But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
23:23For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
23:24Thou shalt not bow down to their mighty ones, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
23:25And ye shall serve Yahweh your Elohim, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
23:26There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.
23:27I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
23:28And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
23:29I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
23:30By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
23:31And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
23:32Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their mighty ones.
23:33They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their mighty ones, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

Exodus Chapter 24
24:1And he said unto Moses, Come up unto Yahweh, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
24:2And Moses alone shall come near Yahweh: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
24:3And Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Yahweh hath said will we do.
24:4And Moses wrote all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
24:5And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto Yahweh.
24:6And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
24:7And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that Yahweh hath said will we do, and be obedient.
24:8And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh hath made with you concerning all these words.
24:9Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
24:10And they saw the Elohim of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
24:11And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw Elohim, and did eat and drink.
24:12And Yahweh said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
24:13And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of Elohim.
24:14And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
24:15And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.
24:16And the glory of Yahweh abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
24:17And the sight of the glory of Yahweh was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
24:18And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
24:1And he said unto Moses, Come up unto Yahweh, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
