Shalom YAH Family, I listen to music 75% of the day, I was born into music so to speak, I've been singing since I was 4 yrs. old in church (Sunshine band) whether I'm listening to gospel, jazz, R&B, soft rock, pop, alternative (SEB eclectic), hip hop, gospel rap, techno, classical (meditation music for me), country and any songs I wrote (one thing at a time, lol!). I'm inspired to rewrite other songs to make it fit my ear gate. Here, I'm rewriting a classic gospel song I led in church choir, my Sisterhood have heard what I have written on several occasions, now I'm sharing on Yahshua Blog, here it goes! May you be blessed by it Quiet Times (rewritten by Sister Rochelle) It's those Quiet Times, Quiet Times They are so precious to me, That's when YOU tell me those secret things and all you want me to be In those quiet times, quiet times Alone together just you and me That's when I tell you that I love you, then Yahweh you remind me that you love me too Together there ain't nothin' I can't do They (the world) can't take them away from me no, no They can't take them away from me Quiet Times, Quiet Times Day or night it's alright with me Doubts and fears always disappears just bc you're so near Those Quiet Times, Quiet Times They put that sparkle back in my eyes They are precious days in my life, everyday I spend with you, Yahweh's gentle touch that I love sooo much- it pulls me through So when I tell you I love you Yahweh you remind me that you love me too Together there ain't nothin' that I can't do They (world) can't take them away from me, oh no They can't take them away from me...Quiet Times! HalleluYAH! ❤️🙏👌👌

Shalom, Sister Rochelle. I like how you repurposed this "Christian" song into a Yahweh worship song. That's exactly what we are supposed to do--reclaim the presence of Yahweh and Yahshua on the earth.

Sister Rochelle, your song is truly soothing. It is what I need as I engage with legal matters following my mother's passing. Probating the will, seeing that these creditors also known as Caesar to use Spike Lee's words "get paid". After all, Yahshua did say, render unto Caesar, the things that are due Caesar's and to Yahweh the things that are due Yahweh's. Miracle is that the lights were on and the gas was on and the water still runs. Music, I always listened to especially when as a child I got to Savannah. I still remember the pink clock radio with the alarm my mother had in the apartment where we lived. As Sophia from the Golden Girls would say, "picture it". The exterior of the apartment was pink. We are talking 1958,1959, 1960 and 1961.What tunes did I hear? The Boll Weevil Song,- Brook Benton, What A Difference A Day Makes - Dinah Washington, The Party's Over, It's Time To Call It A Day- Vocalist Unknown. I had a portable record player and would play 78's. Kansas City Woman by Chick Willis, I Can't Love You Enough by Lavern Baker. As an only child I was left to amuse myself. Later when mother and I moved into a housing project, she purchased a Silvertone Stereo from Sears. On it when she was at work, I played the albums she had which I still got. Stan Kenton, George Shearing, Nat King Cole, Ray Charles. I always enjoyed the duet he and Betty Carter did "Baby It's Cold Outside". Later, I would hear on our local radio station WSOK, Otis Redding, "They Call Me Mister Pitiful". Tunes by Sam Cooke, Motown material, somewhere around my house is an album by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles with a tune I always liked " What's So Good About Goodbye". They had another one which is a favorite, "You Really Got A Hold On Me". I would listen to gospel music on the radio, whether it is the Five Blind Boys of Alabama, The Dixie Hummingbirds, Mahalia Jackson especially " How I Got Over". I heard she was considered the Queen of Gospel and James Cleveland " I Don't Feel No Ways Tired" was considered the King of Gospel. Ooh goodness and mercy mercy me this reply is taking on a life of its own. I am at the public library in Riverdale, Georgia and got to put a pin on this. Sister Rochelle, you keep on keeping on . Don't Stop! Forward Ever! Backward Never! Who is Sister Rochelle, she is someone who truly makes a difference (move over Dinah Washington) on every voyage, the Ark takes. This has been a Brother Ivan "Yeah I said it moment". I'll look forward to the next one Sister Rochelle.
